Yawning makes dogs yawn too

A Dog Yawning

Hey do you know this interesting fact that we can simulate yawning in our pets.
According to research published recently, a yawn is likely to set off pets as well. Psychologists found that dogs were far more likely to break into a yawn if they witnessed humans simulating the action.

If you yawn near your dog, chances are it will yawn too.

Dogs find human yawns contagious, suggesting they have a rudimentary capacity for empathythey found.

Although yawning is widespread in many animals, contagious yawning - a yawn triggered by seeing others yawning - has previously only been shown to occur in humans and chimpanzees.

It turns out, however, that man's best friend is highly sensitive to catching human yawns, with 72 per cent of 29 dogs tested yawning after observing a person doing so.
